I know the NHL is looking for money any way they can, but this is ridiculous.
I purchased NHL.TV’s package to watch all games for the whole season for $169.99. This is a pretty penny and I expected a lot from the service. I was extremely happy with it for the first few months. Here’s when it started to annoy me.
Last week I noticed that before you can sign into the “Center Ice” section of the nhl.tv site, you have to sit and watch a commercial from Verizon before you can even click on the login portion of the site.
I can see to have this happen on the regular service, however, I’m not happy that I already paid a premium to watch this commercial before getting to watch my games.
I have to watch this every time I login to the site. I’m not happy with this and I won’t promote the site (unlike the MLB.TV packages - which are awesome BTW).
So, thumbs down to the NHL for being greedy bastards.

Now, this is interesting:

“Mediocre can work out pretty well in the NL Central”
“There are maybe 10 players that deserve roster spots on the Cubs” “And 2 of those are Daryle Ward“
“You know what they say: Scott Eyre is human, to release him is divine.”

Congrats on your no hitter. Instead of walking Sammy Sosa, you should have drilled him in the skull. This was an awesome accomplishment for someone who you’d never think would ever throw a no-no. It was a complete team effort and reminded me of 2005.
It was strange to have good baseball to talk about today.

The 2007 season is upon us and it’s already started out with a bang. Or not for Chicago. Both teams lost opening day, but the Cubs managed a win tonight. Ted Lilly looked like a playoff ready Curt Schilling (who’s on my fantasy team).  Things are looking good for the Northsiders, however, I don’t believe it’s going to be the year of the Cub. They need at least 2 more pitchers to make it to the World Series.
